Stick With Stupid Pet Tricks

Over the years I have wondered about David Letterman's humor. Is he becoming more radical for the Political Left, or am I just becoming more Conservative? Whatever the case, I found this Fox News story interesting. Here is a portion.

Letterman, in his monologue Monday night, noted that the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate attended a Yankees game during a trip to New York City, where she was honored by a special needs group. Letterman referred to Palin, Alaska's governor, as having the style of a "slutty flight attendant."

The "Late Show" host also took a shot Palin's daughter, while poking fun at the Yankees' third baseman.

“One awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game," Letterman said, "during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez.”

I have yet to figure out the Political Left. First I am constantly being beat up by Leftists that sexual freedom is the norm, and I am outdated in my views. Do not Liberals teach our little girls and boys how to use condoms? Do they not encourage kids to practice "safe" sex? Isn't it outrageous when we bigoted old fashioned people explain that abstinence is God's design until marriage?

So why make fun of Governor Palin's daughter? Why wouldn't he be encouraging her to express her sexual freedom? Instead, Letterman calls Palin a slut and implies the same about her daughter.

I doubt Letterman really has a moral stand on this and probably doesn't care one way or the other. He is obviously using humor to point out what he thinks is hypocrisy. Yet he is flat wrong and reveals that he stands among the wicked. We could go into the faulty logic and reasoning that underlies Letterman's statements, but the Left doesn't even seem to know they have presuppositions. In fact, we are not supposed to even question their self-righteous attitudes nor are we to call them down from their lofty heights from which they perch to judge religious bitter gun clingers.

Now if you doubt I am overstating this, this paragraph proves my point.
In a statement to FOXNews.com, Palin accused Letterman of making "sexually perverted" and “inappropriate" comments that she doubted he would “ever dare make” about anyone else’s daughter.
Let's see Letterman make racial or sexual jokes about Obama's daughters. "Oh, but he's the President", you might say? Well, she is the governor of Alaska. Oh that's right, Alaska doesn't count to arrogant fools in New York. So apparently it's ok to go after a woman with sexually harassing jokes...jokes that would get anyone fired in today's corporate world and would normally bring the wrath of a Left Wing media. Instead Letterman will get a do-over or a pass.

I think the man should go back to doing stupid pet tricks.

Again-- think before you type. Do you remember the Clinton administration?

Palin opened her family up to sexual attack via scandal. Is it fair or right? Probably not. It isn't fair that the right cries and cries about Obama having been on a neighborhood committee with a radical leftist once. If Palin wasn't so morally condemning (like yourself) the issue might go away.

Also, if you say, "God Bless", I'm gonna throw up. You don't have the ability, power, or function to be blessing anyone. You are morally vapid. There is a plank sticking out of your eye-- you blog about it three times a week. I'm praying for you, buddy.

I think we could get top the heart of the matter by expanding this statement. It would parallel your comment,

"You are morally vapid. There is a plank sticking out of your eye"

So seriously, expand away.

God Bless

When it comes to politics, I realize that world is going to be sick on both sides. I was not commenting on the fact that both sides lob silliness at each other. What bugs me is that there is this thing called the main stream media that has clearly taken sides. When Clinton was President, you didn't have articles talking about how we need to understand the rage of the political right. You did not have people trying to make movies assassinating the President. Instead you had the meanest responses from the Media against any critique against the President. They constantly defended the President.

When Bush was President, you would think the country had been in a depression for 8 years with soup lines and all.

Obama is President and he can do nothing wrong at all.

So my point is this, both sides play hard ball. I do not deny such a thing. Politics is wicked. But for Letterman to go in the direction he has gone is just wrong. The Media instead has taken sides and chosen to go after a racist who shoots a guard at the Holocaust Museum. They call him a right-winger. Name for me a Conservative that hates Jews, is a socialist, thinks 9/11 was a conspiracy among the Jews, goes around apologizing to Muslim nations for supporting Israel, denies the holocaust ever happened.

I think Rush was right today when he said,

"Who has been preaching hate for eight years? Who has been doing movies about assassinating the president, writing books about it? The left! This guy, the Holocaust museum yesterday, he had a lot of affection for the German national socialists. That's the left wing. Hitler was a leftist. Washington Post today: "A Suspect's Long History of Hate, and Signs of Strain." This guy has shades of Ted Kaczynski, the Una-bomber. This guy was a Mensa member. They only kicked him out because he didn't pay his dues. One Mensa person described this guy as a genius. He was a genius. He just didn't pay his dues. The Una-bomber, a leftist, anti-corporate guy, had Al Gore's book in his little shack cabin. The truth of the matters is, ladies and gentlemen, if anybody's up there fomenting race and hatred for their own selfish political gains, it's the American left, certain members of the Democrat Party, and of course their amplifier, State-Run Media."

Myth. The media goes where the story goes. Fox's ratings are plenty high, for the amount of lies there--- MSNBC, the most liberal of the liberal, is low. You aren't a persecuted minority. You're just sad.

"When Clinton was President, you didn't have articles talking about how we need to understand the rage of the political right. Not how I remember it. I remember calling the man a liar. And just because someone made and released a movie doesn't mean the media agrees with it. (See the box office for "The Nativity".)

"When Bush was President, you would think the country had been in a depression for 8 years with soup lines and all."

And this is the media's fault? I clearly remember LOTS of criticism coming from the Republican party towards Bush. They didn't even invite him to the convention.

"Obama is President and he can do nothing wrong at all."

At this point it would still be legal to abort this presidency-- so I don't see how anyone can judge much of anything. I see plenty of criticism on the news all day. I think I saw Jon Voight's comments played a dozen times on CNN yesterday. Again-- quit deluding yourself.

James Von Brunn for one. Here's a list of more:

I think you lack definition of what a conservative is. I saw on your blog you thought feminists and evolutions were the same thing, so I'm not surprised. A conservative is someone who clings to what the think (real or not) is traditional. Religious terrorists like Scott Roeder, egged on by people like you.

Hitler may have been financially left-- but he was socially right wing. Anyone who seriously spouts someone who thrives on hate like Limbaugh as a legitimate opinion is scary. I'm glad I'm posting anonymously. I bet you fantasize about all sorts of sick acts of violence against the left, and teach your children your filthy hate too.

The fact that you typed "God Bless"-- you blasphemed. You specifically used God as your own personal weapon and tool, as if you have the might to wield it you sad, sad sap of man.

When God came to earth, the people he most commonly called out were those who spent their lives judging. Your blog is evidence of a scale that will be weighed against you twice over. Maybe you should reconsider yourself. I know it helped me.

1) Anonymous, I decided to pick one of the names you referred to. Here is what it said about Bobby Fischer.

"During this time he made increasingly anti-American and anti-Semitic statements."

Lots of these guys are anti-American and anti-Semitic. They are Leftists, which was my point. Although I am certain you may find someone who is for freedom and liberty based in the rule of law and a capitalist who is an anti Semite.

2) I realize that Conservatives have Fox News. My point was that they are not a part of what has been called the main stream media. The fact that they have become the most popular only means we may need to start changing the terms?

3) As for your response to the Clinton issue, I am not saying the Press wasn't reporting the facts. Everybody has to at some point admit Clinton was a liar. It was how the facts were reported.

Do you really believe that if President Bush had women that he has harassed, the Press would have gone after them calling them trailer trash? Judge Thomas' hearings should disabuse that idea.

Now if Letterman were willing to call Obama a racist because of his ties to a racist preacher, then I would definitely be wrong. Perhaps he has, and I missed it.

Please don't take me wrong about Letterman. I used to be a big fan of his show. I love his humor. I just think he has gone in a direction that has made his show terrible.

4) "I saw on your blog you thought feminists and evolutions were the same thing, so I'm not surprised."

I would have to go back and find that, but I don't think I would equate the two. If I did, I misspoke [typed].

5) "Hitler may have been financially left-- but he was socially right wing."

I disagree. That is like saying Communists and Ronald Reagan simply disagreed over money issues.

6) "When God came to earth, the people he most commonly called out were those who spent their lives judging. Your blog is evidence of a scale that will be weighed against you twice over. Maybe you should reconsider yourself. I know it helped me."

Since you are judging me and calling me to repent, I am curious as to what it is I should believe about Jesus. How do you know this Jesus? Did you get your understanding from the book called the Bible that is full of sexism and racism and homophobes and bigots?

You say Jesus will judge me because I am a blasphemer. What am I saying that Jesus did not teach? It seems to me, Jesus taught in Matthew 5

17Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them.
18For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished. 19Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven”

If I am in error about Jesus' view of the Law, then I am more than willing to receive correction.

The problem with politics is that we could sit and debate all day. One thought did come to me about your view of the press. Would Joe the Plumber agree with your assessment?
